We stumbled onto the Scranton Lace Factory by accident. We were in the Pocono Mountains for some landscape photography and came through Scranton on the way home just to see what it was like. As we rounded the corner on the street we saw the empty decaying building and our curiosity was piqued. We couldn’t resist a little exploration. What fascinated us most about the place was the emphasis the owners placed on recreation. There was a two lane bowling alley and a mini theatre inside the factory! There must be stories to be told about working there when it was the place to be.
