We grew up in Berks County and there was a certain feel about the place and time. And so when Marilyn suggested we go listen to the Buccaneers Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps concert in the Kutztown Park Bandshell I had no idea we would be travelling back in time. The park looked and felt and sounded like the area we grew up around. Walking around the park and surrounding neighborhood, feeling the solitude of a late Saturday evening in a rural Berks County location, was something to behold. I recently got a new camera and thankfully brought it along just in case! These images may not convey anything to anyone else, but they capture a feeling for me from a time that I thought had long since disappeared.
