Tucked away in the rolling hills and forests of the Pocono Mountains is the faded glory of the Penn Hills Resort. The Poconos were once a very popular destination on the East Coast… full of sprawling resorts and mountain playgrounds. And of course, it was the honeymoon destination of choice for many. But the years have not been kind to the Pocono resorts… people have moved on to bigger and better places… and the resorts in the Poconos have withered away and have been reclaimed by the land. In the 2020’s we are seeing a resurgence in modern resorts in this old mountain destination… with gleaming new casinos being built not far from the decaying skeletons of the resorts from days gone by.
