We had to pick up Amy’s car in the city and bring it home for some service. So we made an event out of it… we strolled the sun drenched late afternoon streets of Philadelphia just watching and observing. We walked through Rittenhouse Square and watched people sitting… talking… reading… coming home from work… playing… and everything else you can imagine. It seems everyone wanted to be outside on a sunny late spring afternoon. I was mesmerized by how the light and shadows interacted. They created a spotlight on the central elements in each scene that I watched unfold. It was like a hundred short stories playing out simultaneously, everywhere I looked.
Eventually it was time to get some dinner and we found a great new latin restaurant called Bollo. We ate outside on the sidewalk and continued to watch the city move and change around us. We finished the evening walking back to our car, with a pitstop for ice cream. All in all, it was a great way to spend an evening!
